Dear Community Member,
I firmly believe that one of my most important duties is to protect the residents who worked so hard to make our community a better place. That is the reason I have worked with an assortment of community agencies and local non-profit organizations to create a number of housing opportunities for residents 55 and older.
Listed below are the primary phone numbers and a brief description of the facilities that are currently offered:
Belle Plaine Commons (773-442-6995) is an owner-occupied condominium development for seniors at 2335 W. Belle Plaine.
Catholic Charities (312-655-7440) provides affordable rental options for seniors at 4040 N. Oakley.
Martha Washington (773-478-8900) provides affordable rental options for seniors at 2324 W Irving Park Rd.
Clark and Irving Building (773-348-8100 x14) is a Chicago Housing Authority residential property for seniors at 3930-3940 N Clark.
Silent Cooperative (773-935-0640) is a Chicago Housing Authority residential property for the hearing impaired at 2500 W Belmont,
Bethany Retirement Community (773-989-1501) is a retirement facility with all the comforts of home at 4950 N Ashland.
Crossroads of East Ravenswood (773-271-1182) provides affordable housing at 1615 W. Wilson.
I encourage you to promptly call the particular locations that suit your needs to inquire about the application process, check on availability, or put yourself or a loved one on the waiting list. Please note, any waiting lists connected to the options above are maintained by the independent management companies. My public service office does not have any responsibility in the maintenance or control of these waiting lists.
