Find Helpful Information about Circuit Breaker

Circuit Breaker is a program, which pays money to qualified senior and disabled citizens for part of the property taxes, rent, and other taxes they have paid. The state law providing these rebates is called "Senior Citizens and Disabled Persons Property Tax Relief and Pharmaceutical Assistance Act." The program has been nick named "Circuit Breaker" because it helps protect the income of senior and disabled persons from tax overload in the same way a household circuit breaker protects wiring from an overload of electrical current.
