Summer in the 47th Ward wraps up with everybody's favorite celebration of German-American culture in Lincoln Square. Two tents full of German Gemutlichkeit!
Sponsored by the United German-American Societies of Greater Chicago through the cooperation of Mayor Daley, Alderman Gene Schulter, and the Lincoln Squae Chamber of Commerce.

Join Alderman Schulter, the German American Society of Greater Chicago, and many other local community groups as they celebrates the German heritage of the Northcenter and Lincoln Square communities.
The parade kicks off at Lincoln and Belle Plain and marches north on Lincoln.

During a time when a number of Chicago art walks are folding, the Ravenswood ArtWalk is stronger than ever. More than 300 artists will show their work at the 9th annual ArtWalk and the Tour of Arts & Industry. It kicks off with an opening reception on Oct. 1 and then runs Oct. 2 and 3 along the Ravenswood Corridor in the North Center and Ravenswood neighborhoods.

Attractions include authentic German food and beer (new this year limited vegan menu); "Kinder Korner" (Kids' Games); "Bier Haus" (Imports & Specialties); "Bengal Zone" (sports tv viewing); trailer games; "Club Ben"(for teens & tweens); and the perennial "400" Pool and "Split the Stein" Raffles. "400" Pool squares are available for purchasing after St. Ben's Masses or in St. Ben's Rectory.
