Gene's Sausage Shop Opens In Lincoln Square

Gene’s Sausage Shop, a 37 yr. old family-owned gourmet European market & delicatessen specializing in fine European imported foods, hand-made sausage/smoked meats and prepared foods, cordially invites you to its second location Grand Opening, Saturday, November 7th in Lincoln Square!

Gene’s new construction 2-story store features authentic old world interior architecture including a grand staircase, a copper 10x8 skylight, custom floor to ceiling wood shelving, natural stone walls and hints of reclaimed wood.  The store boasts over 6000 square feet of European gourmet food products and delicacies, over 40 varieties of homemade smoked meats, prepared foods, & bakery.  The second floor holds an extensive list of hard-to-find imported beer, wine & liquor.  For those on the go, the Lincoln Square location will also offer hot soups, rotisserie, salads & sandwiches to go.  

Alderman Gene Schulter (47) worked collaboratively with Gene’s Sausage Shop to establish a European-style delicatessen at the site of the old Delicatessen Meyer.

“Gene’s Sausage Shop will continue the tradition of bringing European flair to our neighborhood,” states Alderman Schulter.  “I am sure that the new location is going to become a landmark of the Lincoln Square community.”
