Northcenter Senior Campus Wins National Award
Alderman Schulter is very pleased to announce that the community's hard work to create the Northcenter Senior Campus has been nationally recognized. Earlier this week, the development team for the Northcenter Senior Campus recieved the AARP and National Homebuilder Associations Livable Community Award for best development over 250 units.
The AARP commended the development team for creating a state-of-the-art senior-living campus that provides affordable housing options in the heart of our neighborhood--close to shops, restaurants, and public transportation.
Alderman Schulter began this project years ago over concerns that many members of the 47th Ward senior community were being forced out of our neighborhood. The goal was to create a welcoming environment that would allow seniors with a wide range of income and resource to live independently in the community.
Alderman Schulter would like to take this opportunity to once again congratulate all who were involved in this project.
