Animal Care and Control Seeks Volunteers

The Department of Animal Care and Control is seeking animal lovers to serve as volunteers.  Animal Care and Control is open 365 days and takes in over 26,000 animals a year.  The department provides veterinary care, fresh food, clean water, and shelter to lost, stray, injured, sick, and unwanted animals in the City of Chicago.

Volunteers should have animal handling experience and be comfortable working in an animal shelter.  Volunteers much be 18 years or older.  

Please note, volunteers are required to pass a fingerprint background check before attending the orientation.
