McPherson Elementary School Enrolling for 2010-2011 School Year

McPherson Elementary School, located in Lincoln Square at 4728 N. Wolcott, is now enrolling for the 2010-2011 school year. 

Head Start Pre-School
This program provides service to pre-school children and their families who have income at below the Federal poverty level.  All children must qualify to participate in this program.    The Head Start Program is a half-day program.     

Full-Day Kindergarten
This program is designed to introduce the basics of reading and math as well as develop important life skills that are fundamental to young learners.

Tuition Based Morning & Aftercare Program
This program offers a safe, stimulating and fun place where children, grades PreK – 8th, are given opportunity to participate in many supervised activities.   Activity planning gives consideration to the age of the children enrolled in the program.  The program offers a variety of activities for your child to participate in, including:   arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor play, character development, social skills, quiet reading time, board games, movies and staff assistance with homework.

International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IB MYB)
This program provides a framework of academic success challenges and life experiences appropriate to the 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.   Students are encouraged to develop Intercultural awareness, community and service, critical thinking and inquiry.
